The knife edge advantage
The gate in a knife edge gate valve is ground to a sharp bevel along its leading edge. As the valve closes, that edge pushes through fibres, solids and settled particles rather than trapping them, so the gate reaches the seat and seals. The result is dependable isolation in power, mining, wastewater and pulp applications where wedge gate valves would jam.

Wafer body
Lightweight, short face-to-face, clamped between pipe flanges.
Full-lug body
Threaded lugs allow dead-end service and removal of one side of the pipe.
Square type
Square or rectangular ports for chute outlets, ducting and hopper discharges.
Square type knife edge gate valve
Square type knife edge gate valves have a square or rectangular port and frame, so they bolt directly to square chute flanges and duct openings without transition pieces. They are widely used under hoppers and silos, in ash and coal handling, and on dust collector discharges.
