Why forged steel for small-bore valves?
Forging compresses the steel grain, removing the porosity that can occur in castings. For valves of 2″ and below working at high pressure and temperature, a forged body and bonnet give a denser, stronger and more consistent pressure boundary. That is why forged gate valves are specified for instrument roots, drains, vents, sampling points and high-pressure process branches.
Axegic forged steel gate valves are bolted bonnet, outside screw and yoke designs with a rising spindle. Body and bonnet are made from quality forgings sourced from reputed forge shops and machined in-house.

The wider forged valve range
As a forged valve supplier and exporter, Axegic produces the same forged platform in several valve types, so a project can source matched valves from one maker:
Forged gate valve
Full or regular bore isolation, API 602.
Three-piece forged steel ball valves complete the range, rated for service from −20 °C to +220 °C with electro-polished or buff finish available for food and pharma lines.
